Environmental Design is Important for Successful Weight Loss.

Our goal is to help you find balance in your life so that energy and weight loss come to you. You see we believe that success comes to those who realize that the environment always wins. Therefore, it is important to get the environment on your side. Design your environments to make things easier for you. So what do I mean by environments? You might never have thought of it this way, but everything in your life can be considered an environment. Think about it, your car is an environment, your desk, your kitchen, where you watch TV, places of special interest... are all environments. Doesn't it make sense then to have them work for you. For example, do you work in a place where people bring in all kinds of "goodies" to share and you find it difficult to resist? Would you agree that in this case the environment usually wins? Yes, of course it does! Do you find yourself trying to rely on willpower? How long before you give in to it...then what happens? The pendulum swings and you go right back to daily indulgences and your weight and energy suffer. Environments when set up correctly can reduce stress and leave you feeling in charge of your choices. Well designed environments create safety in two ways.

#1. Provides certainty and therefore reduces stress. For example: In the break room at work I make sure there are snacks and food that I prefer to eat so when I go in there I can choose from something I like.

#2. It takes the pressure off. When everyone else is chomping down on donuts I can say, "No thanks, I am going to eat this instead."

Change the environment to fit me vs change me to fit the environment.
